That $90 marked deck for cardistry was a bust, glad I went cheap on a second one
I dropped $90 on a limited run marked deck last month for practice, but the ink smudged after a week of handling and now the marks are unreadable, total waste. Then I grabbed a $12 standard bicycle deck from the gas station and it handles better for my one-handed cuts, though the marks are basic. Anyone else regret splurging on fancy custom decks when the budget ones do the job fine?

A $12 Bicycle deck from the gas station is actually not a marked deck at all, that's just the standard rider back pattern. Real marked decks run $10 to $20 from places like Ellusionist or Penguin, so the custom price tag was for the art, not the marks. Smudging after a week is normal with cheap ink though, so the lesson is more about who printed it than how much it cost.
