Pro tip: Stop pressing so hard when you handle new decks

I used to wreck every fresh deck I got because I'd grip them too tight during shuffles. Last week, a buddy at the local card shop in Denver pointed out that my death grip was bending the corners on day one. He showed me that a light touch actually gives you better control and the cards last way longer. Has anyone else had that moment where you realized you were just muscling through something the whole time?

Light grip is the way. Ruined a few decks before someone told me the same thing, now my cards stay crisp way longer.

@faithg26 yeah I learned that one the hard way too. Crushed a brand new deck in like two weeks cause I was gripping it like a baseball bat. Now I just hold em loose and my cards actually last like a normal person's.
