Appreciation post: my $12 bridge shuffle trainer fixed my riffle splits
Ive been doing riffle shuffles for like 3 years and always thought the messy splits were normal. Then a guy at Aces and Eights in Portland said my faro was just a sloppy push. Picked up that cheap trainer at the bar and turns out I was twisting my thumbs inward the whole time. Has anyone else found a tiny tool that exposed a bad habit in their handling?
Well at least your thumbs confessed before your wrists did, that's a win. Mine turned out my pinkies were staging a tiny mutiny every single split, took a $10 mirror to catch them red-handed. Cheap tools exposing expensive habits is the real hustle, apparently.
