Picked the driver with the 4.8 rating over the 5.0, best call in Boston
Last week I needed a ride to Logan at like 5am for a flight. Two drivers were close by, one had a perfect 5.0 rating with 200 trips and the other had a 4.8 with over 3,000 trips. I almost always go for the perfect score but something made me pick the veteran this time. The 5.0 guy was probably new and scared of getting dinged for anything. My driver rolled up 4 minutes early, helped me load my suitcase, and knew the back roads around the tunnel construction without even checking his GPS. We chatted about his years driving nights and he told me he once picked up a guy in a full clown costume who needed a ride to a surprise birthday party. Tipped him 15 bucks and got to the gate with time to spare. Anyone else learned to trust the high volume drivers over the flawless but green ones?
