My left earbud just died 3 months into a pair I paid $80 for
I grabbed a set of refurbished earbuds from an online deal back in October. Last Tuesday I was walking my dog and the left side just went silent, no warning or anything. I tried resetting them, checked the charging contacts, even cleaned the mesh with a toothpick. Nothing worked, so I emailed the seller and they said the warranty was only 30 days. Now I'm stuck with a single earbud and I'm wondering if anyone else has had luck fixing this kind of issue yourself?

Buddy of mine had the same thing happen with a pair of Skullcandys. He ended up just swapping the right earbud to the left case and vice versa, somehow that made them both work again. Might be worth a shot before you toss em.

@colemartinez did he try resetting them first or just go straight to the case swap?
