The OG iPhone alarm sound made me realize how much my phone changed
Tbh I was messing with my old iPhone 4 last weekend, the one I keep in a drawer for nostalgia, and I accidentally hit the alarm sound. It's the same marimba loop that's been there since 2007, but hearing it on that tiny speaker just hit different. I looked it up and found out that exact sound file has been in every iPhone model for 17 years now, which honestly surprised me because I figured they'd have swapped it out by now. It got me thinking about how my current phone does so much more, but somehow that little chime is the one constant. Has anyone else gone back to an old device and found some detail like that, something you never noticed until you used the newer version side by side? Lost my train of thought, but I'd love to hear if other folks have a similar weird relic in their gadget history.
