Pro tip: My buddy swore by the 'airplane mode before bed' trick for better sleep

He told me it reduces blue light and stops notifications from ruining your sleep cycle. I tried it for two weeks straight and my phone battery only dropped 3% overnight instead of 15%. Anyone else have a weird phone habit that actually works?

Man, grayscale mode is such a game changer. It's wild how much less appealing everything looks when it's in black and white, like my brain just registers it as boring instantly. I also started turning my phone upside down on the nightstand after a certain hour so I'm not tempted to peek at notifications. That combined with a strict cutoff time actually helped my sleep more than I expected. Idk, it's almost like we have to trick ourselves into realizing we don't need to be on our phones 24/7.

Totally feel you on the battery life thing, that's a nice bonus. I started using the grayscale mode on my phone a couple hours before bed and it actually helped me wind down faster. It makes doomscrolling way less interesting, so I just put the phone down without even thinking about it.

Same. Grayscale made a huge difference for me too, @abbyr96. I also switched my phone to "do not disturb" at 9pm sharp. That red badge count on apps? It's gone. Now I just don't care about checking anything after that. Feels like a small thing but it totally rewired my brain.
