Just realized my phone's alarm can fade in with Spotify playlists

I was getting sick of my default alarm tone jolting me awake every morning (especially after a late shift last Wednesday). Spent like 20 minutes digging into settings and found out you can set a Spotify song as your alarm and have it fade in over 5 minutes. Way more gentle than that jarring beep, plus now my wake-up is the intro to a chill playlist I made. Anybody else found a good song for waking up?

The whole "fading in" thing is one of those features that sounds great on paper but usually just means your phone waits five seconds and then hits you with the chorus at full volume. Works exactly like how my coffee maker has a "gentle start" setting that basically just spills hot water everywhere for ten seconds before it kicks in normal. Technology's got this way of adding extra steps that make things slightly more complicated without really fixing the original problem. At least with the default alarm you know what you're getting into.

Doesnt it actually fade in from the last time you played music on your phone though? I tried this and it just started blasting whatever was in my queue instead of fading in smoothly.
