I blew $80 on a fancy smart water bottle and it was a total dud
I bought this HidrateSpark bottle that tracks your water intake and glows to remind you to drink, but after 2 weeks the sensor stopped working and it just sits there blinking randomly. I tried resetting it five times and even replaced the battery but the app still shows I drank 300 ounces every day even when I'm not touching it. Has anyone else had a 'smart' gadget that was way more trouble than a regular old bottle?

You know what, I USED to think fancy gadgets were always an upgrade. Like, who WOULDN'T want a smart toaster, right? But hearing this makes me totally reconsider. I mean, if a touch screen can't even keep bread from burning, what's the POINT of having one? Sometimes the old school lever toaster is just better because it actually works. Guess I was WRONG about jumping on the tech hype train for everything.
