Why does nobody talk about how bad retractable leashes are on a narrow sidewalk
Tried one for 2 walks with my beagle on the Greenway trail and we almost clotheslined a jogger both times, so I went back to a 6 foot nylon lead. Anyone else ditch these things or is it just me?

Two walks and you almost took out a jogger twice? That has to be a record or something. Those leashes give your dog like 15 feet of rope and zero awareness of who is coming the other way on a path that is barely wide enough for two people. My neighbor uses one on a busy street and I keep waiting for the day it all goes wrong. Stick with the 6 foot lead, your beagle will survive the shame of a short leash.
