The railroad crossing loop that reset my whole route
I take my shepherd mix, Gus, on the same 2 mile loop near the old train depot in Tucson. Last Tuesday a freight train stopped dead across the crossing for almost 20 minutes, so we had to detour through the industrial side streets. That's when I noticed the empty gravel lot behind the lumber yard, totally fenced and quiet, full of sniffing spots and old pallets. Now we go that way three times a week just to explore, and Gus zigzags like he's on a treasure hunt. Funny how a stuck train can rewrite your whole map. Anyone else found a better route by accident like that?
