The $60 rain jacket that turned my dog into a sponge
I bought this fancy shell for our morning walks, thinking it was the answer to drizzle days here in Portland. After 3 weeks the zipper stuck and the hood collected water like a bucket, so my pup ended up soaked anyway. Anyone else just use a cheap poncho or do you have a brand that actually survives this weather?

and honestly that just proves the whole “technical gear” thing is scam for marketing, my $12 target poncho has outlasted every fancy jacket I’ve owned and my dog stays dry because it actually covers his whole body.
