Showerthought: I tried the 'let your dog sniff everything' advice and our 20 minute walk turned into 70
Everyone kept saying to stop rushing my beagle and just let him sniff. So last Tuesday I tried it on our normal loop around the park. We made it about 200 feet in 25 minutes because he had to inspect every single leaf and fire hydrant. I get that sniffing is good for dogs, but is there a middle ground here? How do you all handle this without the walk taking forever?
