Puddle leap vs. full splash, my dog made the call for me

We hit a massive puddle on the Maple Street trail and I had two choices, jump it like I used to or just wade through. My beagle Daisy charged straight in, drenched my left leg, then shook off right next to a jogger. She looked so proud of herself, has anyone else's dog basically guilt you into taking the messy path?
