Had a guy at the hardware store crack a dad joke that stuck with me for 3 years

I was in the paint aisle at Home Depot mixing a gallon of matte for a job, and this old timer walks up, stares at my cart, and goes 'You know why paint dries so fast on the walls? Because it can't stand to see the mess it left on the floor.' I still think about that every time I tape off a room. Anyone else get a random zinger from a stranger that just lived in your head rent free?

That one's good but the guy at the lumber counter hit me with "a stud finder is just a meter to tell you how much drywall you have to patch" and I still haven't recovered.

Stud finders actually work fine if you use them slow and steady.
