Warning: My cousin told me my password was basically a welcome mat for hackers
I was using my dog's name and my birthday for everything until he showed me how a basic script could guess it in under 30 seconds, so what's a better way to make a password you can actually remember?

Wait, your cousin actually ran a script on your password? That's next-level family intervention. Most people just get a vague warning, not a live demo of their security failing. Honestly, a passphrase is the way to go. Pick four random words, like "correct horse battery staple," and mash them together. It's long, weird to hack, and you can actually remember it. Just don't use famous quotes or song lyrics.

That XKCD comic about password strength got me using passphrases years ago.
