Shoutout to the network admin who called my password habits '1998'

He saw me write a password on a sticky note and said it was like leaving my house key under the mat. I switched to a password manager that week and haven't looked back since. Anyone have a favorite method for getting less tech-savvy family members to make the switch?

My buddy's office had a sticky note situation just like @jade3 mentioned... his boss finally made a password manager mandatory after a phishing scare.

Honestly, that admin had a point. Used to be the same way, thinking my little notebook system was fine. Hearing it compared to a key under the mat was a real wake-up call. For family, I just set it up for them on their main device and made it the default. Showed them it auto-fills stuff, so it's actually easier than remembering. The trick is making it feel like less work, not more.

Did you see that article about how sticky note passwords are still a huge problem in offices?
