Serious question, why do so many people think a strong password is enough by itself?

I finally realized after my cousin's Instagram got hacked last month that a strong password without two-factor authentication is like locking your front door but leaving a window wide open.

Man, my buddy learned that the hard way when his "uncrackable" password got swiped from a data breach.

Totally agree with that. It's a false sense of safety, you know? A password alone can be stolen or guessed, no matter how many symbols you use. Adding two-factor is the real lock on that window. Without it, you're just hoping no one tries the handle.

Can't argue with that logic.
