Serious question, I thought that password manager ad was a scam till my bank guy walked me through it
I kept seeing ads for a password manager on YouTube and figured it was just another way to get my info sold, so I ignored it for like 8 months. Then my credit union in Boise locked my card for fraud twice in one month, and the guy helping me said most of it traced back to the same reused password on old shopping sites. Has anyone else switched over after a mess like that, or am I late to something everyone already knew about?
My dad got hit the same way back in 2019, someone got into his old Sears account and tried to order a bunch of stuff. He switched to a password manager after that and hasn't had a problem since. You're not late, most people don't bother until something like this happens.
