My old password manager export file saved me during a panic at 2am

Last Tuesday I got locked out of my email because I switched phones and forgot I had an authenticator app tied to it. I was about to start the recovery process which takes like 5 days, but then I remembered I exported all my passwords and TOTP seeds from my old manager back in January when I swapped to a new one. I had the CSV sitting in a encrypted folder on a USB drive in my desk drawer. Pulled it up, read the seed for my email, and used a free OTP generator site to get the code. Was back in within 20 minutes. Lesson learned: keeping those export files even after you switch tools is worth the hassle. Do you guys keep old exports around or nuke them after migrating?

Used to delete everything after migrating, figured old files were just clutter. This makes me want to dig out that old export and store it somewhere safe, even if I never touch it again. Better to have it and not need it than the other way around.
