My bank's text alerts seemed like overkill until someone tried to buy $600 of stuff at a Target in Ohio
I set up text alerts for any card charge over $50 about a year ago and figured I was just being paranoid since I check my app all the time anyway. Then a Tuesday morning in March I got a text for $612 at a Target in Columbus, a place I have never been, and I called the number on the back of my card within 4 minutes and they killed it before it went through. So do you all set dollar limits on your alerts, and if so what number actually catches stuff without driving you nuts with texts?
