I was storing my passwords in a text file on my desktop for years

A friend saw my screen during a video call and asked if that was really my password list. He told me about a free tool called Bitwarden and showed me how it works. I moved all my logins there last week and feel way less worried now. Has anyone else switched from a really basic method to a password manager?

Not saying you're wrong but having passwords on a text file is not exactly the end of the world @brown.reese. Unless someone has physical access to your computer or you're clicking on obvious scam links it's probably fine. Now you got Bitwarden though so you're set.

Used to do the same thing, feels way safer now.

Wait, what changed for you @simonmoore? I'm stuck doing it the old way and it still feels risky. Did you find a better method or just get more comfortable with it? The safety part is what I really need to figure out. Feels like there's a trick everyone knows except me.
