I was reusing the same password for everything for like 8 years
It hit me last month when I got a weird email from a site I barely used, asking me to confirm a password change I didn't request. I checked Have I Been Pwned and saw that old password was in a breach from 2019. I had to spend a whole weekend changing it on my bank, email, and like 40 other accounts. Now I use a password manager and it's so much easier. Anyone else have a wake-up call that finally got them to use unique passwords?

My wake-up call was when my old WoW account got cleaned out. Someone sold all my epic gear for copper. That's when I finally started using different passwords for stuff.

Wait, for COPPER? That's just adding insult to injury, man. They didn't even try to get a decent price for your stuff. That's like a personal attack on top of the theft. I'd be so mad. Honestly, that's a brutal way to learn the password lesson, but at least it finally got through.

Can't believe they actually went through with that man. Selling epic gear for copper is just pure spite, like they wanted you to feel every single copper piece of that loss. That's cold blooded, I'd probably have to take a week off work just to cool down after that.
