I used one password for everything for 12 yrs and LastPass leak finally scared me straight
Found out last week that a password I'd been using since 2010 showed up in some breach dump, and my stomach just dropped. Back then I figured who cares, I'm not important enough to hack, that's what I used to tell myself. Now I've got a different random 16 character thing for every single account and a password manager I actually pay $3 a month for. Took me like 4 hours one Saturday to go through everything and it was annoying as hell, but the peace of mind is real. My old system was literally my dog's name plus 123, so yeah, not great. What finally pushed me was reading that credential stuffing attacks jumped something like 70% in a single year. Anyone else here make the switch after a scare, or did you do it the smart way from the start?
