I finally locked my wifi after my neighbor's kid guessed my password in 10 minutes
A guy at the Best Buy in Reno said to use a long passphrase instead of my dog's name plus 123, and I blew him off for a month. Last week the 12 year old next door told me he cracked it while waiting for his mom, so now my network is "purplewalrusmowslawn88" and nobody is getting in. What passphrase tricks do you all use that are actually easy to remember?
A 12 year old cracked "dog name plus 123" in 10 minutes, that's not really a flex for long passphrases, that's just a weak password getting caught. Honestly a decent 12 character random password saved in your browser is safer than some phrase you can remember, because anything memorable enough for you is guessable by someone who knows you. The Best Buy guy wasn't wrong but he wasn't fully right either, remembering it yourself is kinda the whole weak spot.
