Vent: my prompt about a bad Tuesday turned into 900 words of filler
I sat down last week to write a prompt about a rough day at my sister's wedding in Cleveland, and it ballooned into this huge thing with three subplots and a flashback. Someone in my group said to cut it to just the toast that went wrong at 8pm, and now it's too thin. How do you know when a prompt has too much story in it versus not enough?
