Unpopular opinion: a guy at a coffee shop in Tulsa fixed my boring prompts in 5 minutes
I was stuck on the same prompt list for about 2 months, just reusing the same old ideas over and over. Then last Saturday this guy named Dev at a shop on 11th Street read one of my prompts and asked me why every character wanted the same exact goal. I had never noticed it, and once I wrote a couple where the character wanted the opposite of what I assumed, the drafts got way better fast. What is your go to trick for breaking out of a prompt rut when everything you write starts to feel the same?
