The prompt about a broken watch that led to a whole story actually worked for me

I was skeptical about those super specific writing prompts like 'write from the perspective of a shattered watch face' but I tried one last week and ended up with 3 pages of a character's memory loss... Has anyone else had a random prompt trigger something way bigger than you expected?

Nah, I'm still skeptical about it. Sounds like a coincidence more than the prompt being magic. Writing three pages isn't really that impressive if you think about it. Just started typing and didn't stop. Could be anything that got you going that day.

Man, @the_lucas I gotta say I'm with you on this one. Three pages from a random prompt doesn't automatically mean the prompt was gold. Could've just been a good day for writing, you know?

Writing three pages isn't really that impressive" - are you serious? Three pages of solid story from a single broken watch prompt is pretty damn good. Not everyone can sit down and crank out that much, especially from something that random.
