Showerthought: a 3-word prompt vs. a 3-page setting document

I gave my writing group a simple 'haunted lighthouse' idea and got five wildly different stories, but the detailed world bible I wrote for another project just sat there. Which approach actually sparks more creativity for you guys?

You ever read that book "The Art of the Click" or whatever it was called? I saw a blog post about it last week, something about how the best prompts are the ones that don't try to do too much. It's like when you're telling a story, you don't need to explain every detail, just the main beat. Victor hit it right on the nose - leave room for the magic to happen, you know? If you cram too much in there, it just gets muddled and loses the whole point.

Exactly, a simple prompt lets your own imagination run wild.
