I used to think writing prompts about 'everyday objects' were a waste of time. Then I wrote a story from the view of a city bus stop bench.

It's wild how much history a bench could hold, all those little human moments it sees.

My buddy Dave once told me about a specific bench in his old neighborhood. He said he saw a guy get a job offer, a couple have their first kiss, and an old man feed pigeons there every single day. It made him realize those boring spots are where real life actually happens. He started noticing all the little stories happening right in front of him. Kinda makes you look at a park bench totally different now.
