I just hit 50 different writing prompts in my notebook

I started keeping track last January and didn't realize how many ideas I'd actually collected. What's a good number of prompts you like to have on hand before you start writing one?

My friend Dave had 200 before he finally started one.

Is it really that bad though @spencer664, I mean 200 prompts is kinda impressive if you think about it.

Honestly, having a big pile of prompts doesn't mean much if you never pick one. Dave having 200 just sounds like he got really good at avoiding the actual writing part. The best number is just one, the one that gets you to start typing today. Waiting for some magic total is just a trap. You already have 50, which is plenty to find one that sparks something right now.
