A shared story prompt ended our family's silent treatment
My brother and I hadn't spoken in days over a stupid argument. I found a prompt about two strangers meeting in a rainstorm. We started building the story together, and it eased the tension. Now we're talking again, and it feels good. Small wins matter, right?

Found that writing letters to my dad, even ones I never sent, helped me figure out a lot of old anger. I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but putting all that messy family stuff on paper made it feel less huge. It was like I could see our fights from the outside, you know? Started doing it during a really rough patch and it sort of broke the cycle in my head. Gave me the guts to actually talk to him later, but the writing part did the heavy lifting first. Honestly, cheap notebook therapy worked better than I ever thought it would.

Seeing your 'cheap notebook therapy' post, my friend wrote to her mom and they finally made up.
