Oh man, that's such a good note. I made my guy's confidence totally backfire, like he'd rush into a trap because he's so sure he can handle it. Way better than just making him bad at stuff.

Too competent" is a great note. What did you change to fix it? Did you give him a real flaw that mattered, or just make him worse at fighting?

Totally agree with @elizabethblack, I gave mine a stubborn moral blind spot (like, he'd let a villain escape to save a kitten) instead of just making him clumsy.
