Why does nobody warn you about the roommate who only owns one fork
My last roommate used the same fork for 8 months straight and washed it in the bathroom sink, so now I hide my silverware in a locked cooler and ask every new roommate about their fork count before signing, has anyone else had to survive a cutlery hoarder?

Washed it in the bathroom sink" is sending me. That's not washing, that's just giving it a little rinse and calling it a day. I had a roommate who owned exactly one spoon and would eat cereal with it, then leave it in the sink for a week until I caved and cleaned it myself. The locked cooler thing is genius though, I just started using paper plates and plastic forks because I got tired of finding my actual silverware in weird places like the windowsill or behind the TV. Some people just have zero respect for cutlery and it honestly scares me a little.
