The dish drainer magpie problem got so much worse after I switched to plastic mats
Honestly, my roommate Kim used to leave clean plates on the wooden drying rack for days, and I never said much. Then she swapped it for one of those rubber roll-up mats with the little ridges, and within a week our kitchen looked like a raccoon convention. She started stacking wet mugs on top of the toaster, and the drip trail ran all the way to the back door. Last Tuesday I counted 14 spoons scattered on the counter, plus a spatula that had somehow migrated to the windowsill. She claims the mat makes drying faster, but honestly it just gave her an excuse to abandon every dish mid-drain. Has anyone else had a roommate treat a $12 mat like a permanent clutter permit?
