PSA: Do not co-sign a gym membership with your roommate, no matter what they promise
Back in March my roommate swore he'd cover his half of a 24 Hour Fitness plan if I put my name on it since his credit was shot. Three months later he moved out to Tacoma and I'm stuck paying $89 a month for a membership he uses, plus a $150 cancellation fee they hit me with when I tried to bail. Took me 6 weeks of arguing on the phone before they let me downgrade to the basic plan. Has anyone else gotten burned co-signing something dumb for a roommate, and how did you get out of it?
