Overheard my roommate bragging about stealing 12 rolls of TP from our landlord
Last week I walked into the kitchen and heard my roommate on the phone telling his buddy he snagged a dozen toilet paper rolls from the building's supply closet, like it was a win. He's been doing this since we moved in 8 months ago, and I never said anything because it's just TP, right? But then I realized our rent includes cleaning supplies and we each pay $1,150 a month, so he's basically stealing from himself too. I get the urge to stick it to a landlord, but what's the line between a harmless prank and just being a jerk to the maintenance guy who has to restock? Has anyone else dealt with a roommate whose petty theft made you question the whole living situation?
