My roommate ran a crypto mining rig in our 9x10 bedroom and our ConEd bill hit $412
I used to think the "crazy roommate" stuff was mostly just dishes and loud music. My buddy Marcus down in Austin told me last month that I was being a pushover about mine, and he was right. Here is what mine did: six months ago he set up a mining rig in our 9x10 bedroom here in Queens, and the ConEd bill jumped to $412 in January. He called it a "passive income project" and promised to cover the extra. He paid me $60 and called us even. I finally gave him 30 days to move it or move out, and suddenly he found a whole apartment with a spare room for it. Why do people only take you seriously once you actually set a deadline?
