My roommate called our sink "a science project" and asked if I was raised in a barn, so now I want to know who was right
Six months ago my roommate came home, looked at 4 days of dishes in our sink in Fort Wayne, and dropped the line that I was raised in a barn. I fired back that he leaves beard trimmings all over the counter and never once said sorry. He then made a rule that dishes get done within 24 hours, which felt extreme at the time but honestly our kitchen stopped smelling like old milk. Here is the split though: is his 24 hour rule fair, or is it just a neat way to make me do his pans too? I think a person's own mess is their own job and a shared rule just hides who is slacking. Did a roommate ever hand you a spotless speech that was really about their own habits?
