Asked my roommate to label her leftovers, now the fridge has a handwritten index and I'm scared
I only wanted to know which tupperware was mine, so I put a sticky note on the shelf asking for names. Three days later there's a laminated spreadsheet on the door with dates, codes, and a color system, plus a warning that unclaimed items get tossed on Sundays at 8. I respect the effort but now I'm hiding my yogurt like it's contraband. How do you walk this back without starting a fridge war?
That spreadsheet isn't actually about you or your yogurt. She probably just got stressed about sharing space and went way overboard solving it in her own head. Best move is to say you liked the old sticky note system and ask if you two can go back to that.
