That perfect calm morning on the job site last Wednesday

We were setting steel for a new warehouse in Everett, and the wind just dropped to nothing for a solid two hours. It let me place a 12-ton beam within a quarter inch of the mark on the first swing, no fuss. When do you guys find the conditions are just right for your best work?

Sounds like you used up all the good weather karma for the whole month. My crew would probably trip over a tape measure and drop a wrench into the concrete if we got conditions that perfect. Guess we'll just wait for the next total wind shut-off in about six months.

Ugh, that reminds me of the time we had a perfect forecast pour day and the concrete truck blew a hose fifty feet from the foundation. Total mess, and we had to chip it all out after it set. What's the worst site luck you've had?
