Spent $340 on a used set of wireless load cells and they paid for themselves in one pour
Back in 2008 I was running a 60 ton on a tilt-up job in Reno and we were using the old style dynamometer with the dial you had to read from the ground. Pain in the neck. So I dropped about $340 on a used set of wireless load cells off a guy retiring out of Sacramento. First job out with them, we were picking a 14,000 lb panel and the readout in the cab showed the load creeping past what the chart said for that radius. Turned out a rigging sling was snagged on a bolt and the old dial setup would have never shown it until the panel was in the air. Shut it down, re-rigged, and finished the pour with no issues. That one catch probably saved us a dropped panel and a whole lot of paperwork. Still have those load cells in the truck today and I will not run a critical pick without them. Anybody else make the switch from the old dial dynos, and did it ever catch something you would have missed?
