PSA: thought those radio hand signals were overkill till a guy in Tulsa saved my load
I was about to swing a 4,000 lb beam over a crew last Tuesday and my spotter used the old hand signal for stop instead of yelling, which I always figured was just old timer stuff, but it caught me a full second earlier than the radio would have, so now I want to know what other low tech habits you all swear by over the new gear.
