Showerthought: that plastic bin method for game cases is a trap, and a spilled soda at PAX East showed me why
I used to stack all my Switch and PS2 cases face down in those deep plastic bins because every setup video says it saves room, but at PAX East in Boston last spring someone knocked a soda off a table and it ran right down between the cases and soaked about 30 of them before I could pull them out. Deep bins hide spills and dust in a way that open shelves never do, and now I keep my games spine out on a cheap 3 tier shelf I bolted to the wall so I can actually see what I own. Am I the only one who thinks those bins look tidy in photos but make you forget half your collection?
Deep bins are basically a graveyard with a lid, I've definitely "found" games in mine I forgot I bought. My whole collection looks tidy until you realize half of it is just dust and regret.
