My buddy who runs a retro shop in Cincinnati said skip the shelves and go vertical, 2 years later I owe him a beer
Two years back I had maybe 140 game cases crammed into a closet that was about 4 feet wide, and my buddy Dale, who runs a little retro shop in Cincinnati, told me to stop buying shelves and put up a wall grid instead. I ignored him for eight months because the grid panels looked flimsy to me. Then I finally hung two 2-foot by 4-foot panels and moved about 60 games onto them with small hooks and bins, and the closet floor cleared out overnight. The other thing that helped was putting all my loose cables in clear shoe bins on a rack up high, labeled on the front with tape. I still have too many controllers for the space, but at least I can find the one I want in under a minute. If your closet has a blank wall going unused, what did you hang on it first?
