That one friend who kept talking during cutscenes and I finally snapped

My buddy Dave kept cracking jokes during the opening of A Way Out at his apartment last weekend, and I literally paused the game and told him to shut up for 2 minutes. He looked shocked but then actually apologized, and we played the whole rest of the game in silence during story beats. Has anyone else had to call out a friend for ruining the immersion in a story-heavy co-op game?

You did what needed to be done, plain and simple. Some people don't realize how much talking ruins a co-op story game until you call them out on it. Good on Dave for actually listening and adjusting.

Wait wait wait, he actually apologized and then they played the rest in silence? That's wild because my experience has been the complete opposite, like I had this one friend who would not shut up during any game and when I finally said something he got all defensive and said I was taking it too seriously.
