Spent $40 on a 4-port HDMI splitter from Amazon and it fixed my cord chaos

Me and my roommates were always swapping cables behind the TV to play Switch or PS5 together. Picked up a random no-name splitter for like $40 and now everything stays plugged in. Anyone else deal with this or find a better setup?

Yeah I went down that rabbit hole too. My problem was different though. I got a splitter thinking I could hook up my old Xbox and my Fire Stick at the same time. Turns out my TV only has two HDMI ports and one of them is tucked behind the mount. Now I got cables running all over the place anyway. The splitter just gave me more ports but now I have more cables. Honestly feels like I traded one mess for another.

Traded one mess for another" man that's exactly what happened to me. I got an HDMI switch and now I have this ugly tangle of wires snaking out the back of my TV stand that looks like a spaghetti monster.

lol "traded one mess for another" that is so painfully accurate. I did the exact same thing last year. Now I got this black box sitting there with five cables coming out of it and it looks worse than before cause my old setup had two cables hidden. Now my cat keeps trying to eat the new ones. Its honestly just a different kind of ugly.
