Shoutout to my buddy Jake for saving game night with a weird old game

Honestly, we were at my place last Friday and our usual Overcooked 2 session just wasn't clicking. Jake dug through my old Xbox 360 games and pulled out 'Fuzion Frenzy', which I hadn't touched since like 2010. Ngl, we spent the next three hours just playing that dumb mini-game where you're sumo wrestlers on a tiny platform. Has anyone else found a forgotten gem that brought a co-op night back to life?

That "forgotten gem" idea is a total gamble for me. Last time we tried an old Wii game, the controls were so bad it killed the whole mood. Sometimes you just need to switch to a different NEW game, not dig up something broken.

Totally get what barbaramurphy means about old controls being a gamble. But I'm with norag55 on the simple fun part. The real trick for us is picking a game that's so dumb and broken it becomes its own fun. Like we found this old snowboarding game where the physics are totally wrong, and we just laughed for hours trying to beat the glitches. It's less about the game being good and more about the shared joke of how bad it is.

I used to worry about old games being clunky too. But finding a simple, fun one like that can really turn things around.
