My brother's one comment about our co-op session changed how I pick games

Last Friday we were playing Streets of Rage 4 on the PS5, and after we beat Adam on hard mode my brother goes "you never let me pick the character I want, you always rush ahead". I didn't even realize I was doing that. It hit me that I treat couch co-op like I'm soloing everything, so now I actually ask what weapons or characters they want before diving in. Does anyone else have to remind themselves to slow down and let the other person actually play?

Hold on, is this really that deep though? Sounds like your brother was just tired of getting steamrolled by you, not that you completely changed how you play games. It's probably good to be a little more aware but I wouldn't overthink a single comment he made in the heat of the moment.

Yeah but "steamrolled" is a pretty harsh word to just toss out there in the heat of the moment. Sounds like he's been bottling that up for a while honestly.
