Serious question, how long did it take you to strip old wallpaper without wrecking the plaster?
Tackled the spare bedroom in my 1920s bungalow and thought it would be a weekend job, but it took me 11 days with a steamer, fabric softener spray, and a plastic scraper. The top layer came off fast but the backing paper bonded to the plaster and I gouged three spots before a neighbor told me to score it first. Any tips for the next room, or should I just hang beadboard over the mess?
